Peter Prince Gayle is approximately 14 years old.  We do not have any birth date nor does he know.  He has only been at New Beginnings since Easter Sunday March 23, 2008.  A concerned acquaintance helped find New Beginnings when Peter had no place to live.  He has no known father and his mother is on drugs.

Peter cannot read or write, but seems to have a strong desire to learn.  Peter seems very relieved to have a safe, loving environment in which to be.

Pray for his continued growth.

Alvin Robinson is 12 years old. He was born December 30, 1995.  He was removed from his community by the courts in order to provide care and protection in December 2006 and was transferred to New Beginnings February 26, 2007.  Alvin had attended very little, if no, school and is developmentally delayed. He is at a preschool level although he is very street smart. Alvin has made some very good choices to change his behavior and is making steady progress. He is a follower, so while at New Beginnings, has others leading him in a positive direction.

Alvin loves the character building drama class and he likes to build things. He loves ice cream. Alvin gets along well with his peers

Boris Murray is 16 years old. His birthday is June 22, 1992.  Boris came to New Beginnings January, 2007 from an extremely impoverished home.  He was saved and water baptized immediately after he came. He has made very good progress in his reading and has reached a third grade level work, allowing him to go into the computer based learning lab.  Boris enjoys the youth fellowship and church activities, and played a wise man in the Christmas drama.  His favorite music is Christian rap and his favorite artist is DJ Nicholas. Boris likes turkey and he likes to go to the beach.

Jermaine McIntoch is approximately 14 years old. He was sent to New Beginnings one year ago from a government place of safety. He came with no information, and he does not talk about his history. Jermaine, however, is responding to the love and structure of New Beginnings. He is learning to read and he is learning to be challenged in a classroom setting. At first, Jermaine showed no emotion of any kind. He now laughs freely, cries, and smiles.   He says his favorite song is Jesus Loves Me and his favorite food is ackee and saltfish and dumpling. He loves to play.

Jason Randall is 14 years old.  His birthday is February 15, 1994.

Since coming to New Beginnings several years ago, Jason has learned to read.  Now he loves books and helping others at the training center.  Because of life threatening meningitis as a toddler, and Jason was labeled, formally and informally as a handicapped person.  Jason has proved all of the talk wrong, and is growing leaps and bounds.  Jason has a big smile and is lots of fun.  He loves to laugh.

Romando Cassells is 16 years old.  His birthday is July 4, 1192.  He was the youngest trainee New Beginnings has ever accepted, and has been here since 1998.

Romando is a leader and demonstrates that in all the responsibilities he holds.  He is doing well in school, finishing 5^th level in the computer learning class.  Romando loves his culinary arts class, and is one of the trainee cooks.  He takes a big responsibility in the chicken rearing of our agricultural program.

Romando is very friendly, social and caring.  He has tremendous potential for a bright future.

Daniel Thompson is 10 years old and was born February 9, 1998. He came to New Beginnings from the government place of safety in January, 2008.  From an infant he was raised in another private children’s home and then spent a year in a foster home. This did not work out, and he was taken to the government facility.  Daniel is very quiet, polite, and soft spoken.  He has a ready smile and an easy hug. He is happy to be learning and enjoys school. He gets along well with other boys, and is responding very well to the environment at NBITC.

Daniel’s favorite song is Israel Haughton’s I Am Not Forgotten.  His favorite food is ice cream, and he loves to play computer games.

Ashley came to New Beginnings in the spring of 2006 from a government children’s home after being taken from his home environment for protection and care.

Ashley does well in school.  He has learned to play football [soccer] and can be a pretty fearless goalie.  He also likes to sing.  Ashley is overcoming a lot of emotional trauma and can use your prayers for healing.

Desmond Hines is 16 years old, his birthday is November 5, 1991.           He came to New Beginnings two years ago after his father rejected him and a friend of the ministry referred him, he also has an older brother here who is a staff member.  Desmond is an eager learner and is in the 4^th level in the computer learning class.  He is also a culinary arts student, and one of the trainee cooks.  He is also in agriculture. He is apprenticing with a local sheepherder and loves it!  He especially enjoyed taking “his sheep” to a major agricultural show. 

Pleasure  Johnson  is  13 years old. He was born July 6, 1994. He comes from a large family where his mother was incapable of providing care and protection. He and his siblings have all been placed in various facilities. Pleasure has been at New Beginnings for about two years following a series of other homes.

Pleasure can be a lot of fun and can generate great enthusiasm when he is doing well. He has a tender heart, but is in need of much prayer for all the earlier psychological wounds that create instability.

Pleasure likes math, Kentucky Fried Chicken, and riding skaters.  He says his most respected person in his life is the staff at New Beginnings.

Wayne Nobles is soon turning 14. His birthday is April 7, 1994. He came to New Beginnings from the streets of Montego Bay through a relative on June 28, 2003. Wayne recently returned after a period of time gone with a renewed motivation. He is doing very well in school and has graduated to the computer based learning system. Wayne is outgoing, social, and fun. He has a high leadership potential and will do well if he continues in this same pattern.

Wayne loves fried chicken and playing his brother’s video games.
