Agricultural Training

WE ARE MAKING SOME CHANGES IN THIS AREA OF MINISTRY SO IT IS NOT UP-TO-DATE

CHICKEN REARING PROJECT 

We are currently in need of an agricultural manager who could do the following:

1.    Interested in growing both short – term and long term vegetable crops for consumption and sale.

2.    Must be knowledgeable about soil testing

3.    Must be able to instruct and supervise a group of young people ages 13 and up. It would be approximately 6-10 at any one time.

4.   Oversee poultry production. We currently have a 1600 square foot poultry house with 50-100 chickens. We need to develop this as a self sustaining project.

5.    Oversee an apiary

6.    Oversee the maintenance and care of fruit trees.  With possible expansion.

Our goal in all of these projects is 3 fold:

1. Help to feed ourselves. 

2. Add financially to thegeneral fund. 

3. Give the trainees and opportunity to learn the process of raising chickens, good work habits.
