Agricultural Training

We have areas in which the boys are required to participate: Chicken rearing; orange, coconut and banana groves, vegetable growing.  Each boy has an opportunity to learn skills that can be utilized throughout his life.

Here is Anthony Williams, Trainee Supervisor and our staff person in charge of our garden.  Supervising all the trainees involved.

We are presently growing vegetable crops that include; tomatoes, calaloo, cabbage, pumpkin [Jamaican variety], and plantain.

CHICKEN REARING PROJECT

Here is one of our senior trainee in charge of the care of our chickens. Michael Robinson [17]

Our goal in all of these projects is 3 fold:

1. Help to feed ourselves. 2. Add financially to thegeneral fund. 3. Give the trainees and opportunity to learn the process of raising chickens, good work habits.
